At that time the Z was part of the Datsun family and had been known as the “Fairlady Z” in Japan (it is still known as such today). I just got an email from a friend who works for Mazda. He’s been given 5 Golden Tickets, or as he calls them, Mazda Preferred Buyers Cards, which he can make out to family or friends. The holder will get “an additional $500 off over and above any other incentives (you apply it after you have made your best deal and settle the details)”.
